Altered dresser for a friend

Hi everyone,

Wanted to share this little dresser I made for my friend Barbara. I love how it turned out. I painted it white and used a honey comb stencil to put some pink on the dresser but it was too bright so I added at white layer on top to have the shabby chic look. I added rub n buff to the knobs. It's my first time using that stuff and I love it. I added laces and pearls as well. On the side I used two pieces of appliqué and on the top I added some flowers I made and a michaels frame that she had sent me. I added a pearl strand from one of the gowns I was working on. I hope she likes it. Thanks for stopping by.

Another volunteer day

Hi everyone, I did another volunteer day at Kaylees pre school and that means another project. Today's project was thanks to Pinterest at the last minute. Heart coffee filter and rosette. One of the child amazed me because he actually knew it was a coffee filter. I had them colored the heart with markers and also the edge of the flowers, then I sprayed them as they watch the colors run together. I think they really liked that part.

I also want to share a dress I made for kaylee's Barbie in the bottom pictures. Hope you guys like it.

A birthday card

Hi everyone, hope you're well today. I want to share a birthday card I recently made. It's a different style then what I usually do and I'm quite happy with how it came out. I had my sewing machine out so I did some stitches on the paper. Which I used Daisy Collins New Beginning papers. I added some seam binding and a stick pin I made. I've been working a lot with wedding dresses and appliqué so I added some too. Hope you like it.

Up cycle

Some how I love clear glass storage. I had a few of these candle jars from bath and body works, and I so happen to see a tutorial on Pinterest using hot water to get all the wax stuff out so I wanted to try. Wwwhoooollaaaaa it works. I love my new cleaned container. I've been working with a lot of appliqué so I thought I would use one on a jar and one jar to hold some scrap pieces and I loved how both of them came out. Hope you guys like it and will try If you have any laying around.

Some things I've been working in

Hi everyone, so I realized I haven't posted for awhile so I thought I would do an update of a few things I've been working. I have been doing a lot of eyelet flowers and lace flowers in general, I've also been playing with clay. I even got my husband to do it with me. I think that's what makes me the most happy. I also attempted to make a dress for my daughter. maybe i will try an easier pattern next time. She didn't like it very much. So here they are. ;) thanks for visiting.

DT project for SSS

Hi everyone,

Here is a card I would like to share for one of my DT projects this month for Scrapbook Stamp Society. The image I used is by Sherri Baldy called Happy Birthday Mr.president. You can find a link to it below. I've also cut some die cuts from Cricut cartridge Ornamental Iron 2. I'm not sure what I'm going to use this card for yet so I have not add any sentiments to it yet. The gardenias are also made my me. It feels good to be able to use your own handmade flowers in your project. ;) hope you like it and will check out the image below. Thanks for stopping by.
